Hundreds of teachable movies! That's how many lesson plans or guides you'll find at Teach With Movies. Search one of the numerous categories to locate the movie, documentary, or short you want. Some of the categories are Subject Matter (and not just math, science, history, etc.), Social-Emotional Learning (themes like Ambition, Coming of Age, and many others), Appropriate Age (three through adult), and Set Up the Sub (found on the top menu under Features), just to name a few. Lessons include a general summary of the film and discussion questions with answers. Most also include a rationale for using the movie, the subjects, topics, and themes, if there is a book - a bit of background and review of it, objectives, possible problems, historical context, and more. Of course, the topics for consideration depend on the film. Sign up for the newsletter to see when there are lesson guides for the newest movies. Whether culminating a unit or introducing one, using these lessons and guides along with the video will help to make a lasting impression about your topic.

Movies offer an entertaining format for history and thematic studies. Use a video to add to the learning experience of students who are visual and auditory learners. Teach Your Monster to Read is a free early reading program built on the principles of synthetic phonics. Activities develop speed and accuracy of letter recognition by taking a fantastic adventure through a magical world where you meet island kings and collect letters to win prizes. The program also explores blending and segmenting, and introduces "tricky" words in a fun, interactive setting. Registration with email and a password enables you to save games and track progress. Get an overview of the game by playing the demo without registration. This site was created in Great Britain so some words may have British English spellings and pronunciation.

Teachable Machine is a Google AI experimental project that allows you to create learning machine models without coding knowledge. Use images, sounds, and poses to build models that classify and sort information. Explore the tutorials to learn how to create a learning machine and view examples of use, such as making a model to determine the ripeness of a banana, detect different sounds you create, and recognize the tilt of a head. Also included are lessons for K-12 classrooms that use Teaching Machines as part of lessons in AI and ethics and Dancing with AI. Start your project by choosing the type of project to create, then follow the steps to add samples to use in training your model. Complete and save your project, then share it with a link or other options available through Teachable Machine.
In the Classroom
Share Teachable Machines with students who enjoy working with computers and ask them to develop models for different learning activities. For example, ask students to use the image model to create examples of categories of animals for young students and provide them with a picture bank of animals. Free plans allow teachers to add up to fifty students, including twenty-five AI credits monthly and unlimited lesson plans, rewards, and messages. After creating an account, use the links on your dashboard to add a class, plan and teach, communicate, find templates, and more. Next, use the create lesson option to generate a lesson based on your objectives and standards. Options are available to upload resources and import standards. After developing lessons, use the edit options to adjust the lesson and activities as desired. Return to your lessons to find additional AI generation tools that create images, questions based on Bloom's Taxonomy, choice boards, exit tickets, and more. Teachally has many built-in video tutorials that guide members through the options offered. Always check your results for accuracy when using AI-generation tools.

Create an account, find your school, and begin a supply list or wish list. Personalize your list with a short welcome statement, if desired. Choose from categories to add items. Categories include most popular items as well as specific items such as paper, pencils, or health and cleaning supplies. Include the quantity for each student, add a short note, and save when complete. Share your final list through email, direct url link, or several social networking links.
In the Classroom
Create a TeacherLists account for your building or teaching team and distribute your supply list or a wish list in an easy to find format for parents to access anytime and anywhere. Share what your class specifically needs to be ready for the start of school or a new marking period. Include the links to your lists on your class web page. The Baltimore Museum of Art offers resources for educators to support classroom curriculum and enhance student learning across disciplines. Museum featured artwork provides the content for detailed lessons. Click the menu on the left, then slide down and click Learn to find Art to Go, Teacher Guides, Family Activities, and more. Sign up for Art to Go monthly email that contains a printable full-color image of an artwork at the Baltimore Museum of Art. A brief commentary focuses on teaching ideas, while the challenge project invites students to try this idea and bring it into their own style. There is a plethora of ideas and lessons on this site.
In the Classroom
Have you been trying to incorporate different sources into your social studies content? Use the content areas found in this collection. In gifted classrooms, use these activities for choice enrichment activities to deepen content knowledge. Use the artwork to inspire a narrative or informative writing prompt. Art classes have immediate lesson plans. Use it as a quick lesson in case of a sub. When going on a trip to your local museum, begin by investigating the content found in the Baltimore Museum of Art. Assign students the opportunity to uncover the mystery of artwork in your own museum to increase interest and motivation during your visit. Students then work on a multimedia project, find one for them to use here, of what they discovered and present it to the class. TeacherMatic.com is a set of artificial intelligence (AI) generators that create various teacher materials. Required tasks that take up much of your teaching time just got easier! The website offers lesson planning, student tracking, grade book management, and resource sharing. After registering for a free account, you can generate up to five activities per day.
In the Classroom
There are two types of AI generators on the site; course planning and activity generators. The course planning generators can create lesson objectives, flash cards, topic notes, and a scheme of work. The course activity generator creates learning activities, rubrics, multiple-choice quizzes, SMART goals, discussion topics, and more. To use TeacherMatic's generators, click on what you would like to create, enter an objective, the number of moves you need, and the level of complexity your lesson requires. This educational project developed by a former Treasurer of the United States offers a database highlighting historic American women. During her time as Treasurer, Rosie Rios sought input from around the country as part of her efforts to put a woman on U.S. currency. After leaving her office, she developed this site to share the database of information and encourage classrooms around the country to recognize contributions of American women to history. Download the database as a PDF document containing a list of women shared with the treasury and including date of birth, date of death, a one-sentence synopsis, and an image. Also, Teachers Righting History provides a few suggestions for getting started and using the database in classrooms.
In the Classroom
Download and share the database provided on the site as a starting point for many different history projects. Enhance student learning and begin your project by having students choose a famous woman and personalizing a dollar bill with her image using Festisite Money, reviewed here. As students continue researching famous women, share our TeachersFirst Women's History Month Resources located here, as a starting point for finding information. Instead of just creating a list of online resources for student research, engage students by creating interactive learning activities using a tool like FigJam, reviewed here. Your students can visit the world and build their background knowledge when they choose to read a book in conjunction with Reading Treks. Find fiction and informational books at every reading level. Each Reading Trek unit has a downloadable PDF with Common Core State Standards, ISTE Standards, Grade Level, Ideas and Activities for using the Reading Trek in class, and a list of Helpful Resources. There is also a Google Maps (KMZ) file. Under the About TeachersFirst Reading Treks on the home page find step-by-step instructions for when you're ready to use a Reading Trek. TeachersFirst is just getting started creating Treks for books. Do you have a suggestion? Select Suggest a Trek from the left menu to let us know about it. We'd love to hear from you!

Module one begins with a short overview of differentiating the learning process and shares several technology tools to support successful differentiation.
