Twee offers a selection of artificial intelligence (AI) tools designed with English teachers in mind. Create a free account to access the many resources that work with video, interact with text, develop vocabulary, provide grammar practice, and more. Twee's video tools work with YouTube reviewed here to create questions based on the video's content, create summaries of the video, and suggest warm-up questions for use before watching videos. Additional tools provide options to create various assessments, topics for discussion, and homework ideas. After selecting a tool, follow the prompts to make your activity. Some of Twee's tools offer the option to create text from an image, including turning a screenshot of a text page into text to use with the chosen resource. Copy the completed activities into any document to share with students or save as a PDF.

Twee isn't just for English teachers! Use Twee to create content for any subject area to engage students and enhance comprehension. Use Twee to differentiate instruction by creating reading passages with different levels of difficulty based on the same content. Twee's vocabulary tools are an excellent option when introducing new vocabulary for science content, social studies, or math terminology. Learn about animals of the Antarctic with printable trading cards. This four-page set includes facts and information about twelve inhabitants of the Antarctic. Follow the directions to print the set in color, fold, glue, and cut to create the trading cards.
In the Classroom
Engage students in learning about animals of the Antarctic with these brightly-colored trading cards. Provide a set of cards to different groups of students and create their games based on the facts. For example, have students find the animals with the longest life span, largest or smallest weight, or longest length. Enhance student learning by introducing the TeachersFirst Reading Trek, Mr. Popper's Penguins, reviewed here. Use the trade book, Mr. Popper's Penguins, and the Reading Trek, which includes a virtual field trip of resources that takes students on a learning adventure to the South Pole. Extend learning further by asking students to create interactive images sharing new information learned about the Antarctic. Use the free tools found at Genially, reviewed here, to design interactive images that include links to text, websites, or videos using a Genially template or starting from scratch. Use images found on Unsplash, reviewed here, also search within Genially, or find additional free images at Pixabay, reviewed here, and make sure to provide proper attribution.

PixCove offers downloadable JPEG images for use privately or commercially without requiring attribution. Use the keyword search to locate images for specific topics or browse through the latest uploads. Included with each image is a short description with tags and a statement of no copyright declaring the availability to use the image without attribution. Even when not required, it is always a good idea for students to provide attribution when possible.
In the Classroom
Explore PixCove as a resource to find images and backgrounds for any digital projects and presentations. Select interesting images to display for creative writing prompts or ask students to select a photo to inspire a creative writing project. Ask students to write their stories (displaying the image) with Telegra.ph, reviewed here, to share with the class. Create a link on classroom computers for students to explore these interactives. This site could be used in world cultures, world geography, world languages, science, government, and many other subjects. Have students try the games and then research further information. For example, after finding all European countries that have a reigning monarch, have students find further information on the monarchies. In the Classroom
Create flashcards for your classes -- or have them make their own. Try using them as an introduction to a concept, then again in the practice of the concept, and one more time as a final review. This would be great for teaching Latin prefixes and suffixes of words used in science terms or for standardized test preparation. Try having students create flashcards and share with each other to quiz themselves within their own groups. Clicking on Discussion Group in the upper right corner to start a discussion thread about a flashcard to extend learning. Teach students in higher grades how to create flash cards with multiple blanks to challenge their brain to remember more pieces of the puzzle. Show them how to carefully read through their classroom notes and underline the most important word or words in a sentence. Then have them leave out the most important words for their flashcards. Learning support teachers might want to have small groups create cards together to review together before tests. Meaningful feedback helps everyone improve. Microsoft Teams offers both formal and informal feedback mechanisms. In Teams, you can give students assignments with all applicable resources and templates attached, then use rubrics, polls, and quizzes to offer timely feedback on progress toward learning goals. Learn to create and use this assignment and feedback loop to help students grow. As a result of this session, teachers will: 1. Learn how to create assignments in Microsoft Teams; 2. Understand how to give students feedback on completed assignments; and 3. Plan to use a rubric to offer students feedback. This session is appropriate for teachers at all technology levels.

In this session, educators will go on a journey to learn how to integrate Google Maps into instruction. Learn about strategies for group collaboration and how to create and customize your own map by adding placemarks and paths--and remember, it's OK2Ask questions at any time! As a result of this session, teachers will: 1. Explore Google Maps and its features, 2. Learn about uses for Google My Maps in education; and 3. Plan to incorporate Google My Maps into an upcoming lesson. This session is appropriate for teachers at all technology levels.

Browse through this list of citizen science projects to find classroom science projects, then work together to choose the project that interests your students. Consider using Google Jamboard, reviewed here, as a starting point to engage students and share information about potential projects. For example, create a Jamboard slide for each possible project, add important information, then ask students to add sticky notes with their ideas.
