Topics include timely events like a solar eclipse and thought-provoking questions like whether dinosaurs burped. Each podcast episode includes a blog with a transcript and supplemental information such as videos, images, and links to additional resources. Most podcast episodes run between twenty and thirty minutes and are available on several podcast-hosting resources, including Apple, Google, and Amazon Music.

Podcasts can be an engaging way to promote interest in science topics as part of a listening center rotation or to enhance your current lessons. Enhance learning by downloading the transcript and creating a set of questions using an AI resource such as MagicSchool, reviewed here. There is No Planet B - Climate Change and its Impact on the Earth is part of the TeachersFirst Help! I Lost My Library/Media Specialist series reviewed here. This article includes Background Information on discussions and research about climate change that began in the 1800s and continues through current times. The activities include a list of books related to climate change and suggested classroom activities. Also included are suggestions for extension activities, such as using gamification activities to learn about climate change. Information includes correlation to ISTE and AASL standards.
In the Classroom
Use the suggested book list to find ideas for books to share with students in your classroom library. Engage students in learning about climate change by including additional activities at Ted-Ed's Earth School reviewed here. For example, search Earth School for lessons on wildlife adaptations to climate change, how food waste contributes to climate change, and many other engaging lessons. Extend student learning by asking them to research climate change's before and after effects for specific locations, then use Juxtapose reviewed here to create a single image to compare and contrast the two images using a slider bar.

EduProtocols are a set of structured lesson designs that enable teachers to deliver content and engage students in interactive learning experiences. This second session in our series will review EduProtocols and how they can be used in different subjects and grade levels. We'll also take a deeper dive by creating and planning to implement EduProtocols in the classroom. As a result of this session, teachers will: 1. Understand the purpose and benefits of using EduProtocols in the classroom; 2. Learn how to adapt EduProtocols for different subjects and grade levels; and 3. Practice designing EduProtocols for classroom implementation. This session is appropriate for teachers at all technology levels.

The Canva storyboard templates page offers many different designs to help you plan stories or projects. You can change these templates however you like by adding pictures, text, and more to bring your ideas to life. It's a helpful one-stop shop for storyboard templates.
In the Classroom
Storyboards don't have to just be for storytelling. Have students pick a historical event or era they have studied or are interested in exploring further and use the templates to create a graphic novel-style storyboard that narrates the event. Have students select a social issue they are passionate about, such as bullying, mental health awareness, or digital citizenship, and have them choose a template to create a comic book. These can be printed and hung around the school. For younger students, customize a template and print it for offline use. It can be used for any sequencing concept, like life cycles or moon phases.
