HyperDocs is a free resource library for digital lesson plan templates for all subjects and grade levels available to use without registration. Most lessons use Google tools, including Google Docs, reviewed here, Google Slides, reviewed here, and Google Jamboard, reviewed here. Begin your search by exploring the basic templates featured based on different lesson models, or use the keyword search bar to find specific topics. Next, filter down results by grade level, lesson subject, and focus area. Be sure to click the "apply filters" box after making your choices. Each hyperdoc includes a preview for viewing the document; choose the link to "make a copy" to copy and personalize as desired. Although registration isn't required to access and copy the hyperdocs provided on the site, creating an account offers you the opportunity to receive notification of the latest additions to the site.

Image Candy offers several tools for converting and resizing images, cropping, adding text, and much more - without requiring registration or annoying advertising. This resource even easily converts Apple HEIC files to JPG, making those images easier to use on many other sites. After selecting a task, follow the prompts to upload and edit your image. When complete, download and save on your device.
In the Classroom
Access to an easy-to-use image editor is vital for many classroom needs, be sure to bookmark and save this site on your computer for many uses and on student computers for school projects. Use the tools in many different ways. For example, use the simple meme generator with a historical figure to introduce a new social studies unit with humor. Use the background remover with pictures taken of students, then ask them to place themselves in a new place using Google Slides, reviewed here such as in a location discussed in a recent novel study. AirPano is a stunning collection of aerial panoramic 360-degree images of famous locations around the world. They incorporate Google map technology. Peer down at the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong harbor or the tranquil scenery of Fiordland in New Zealand. Use the search bar to locate the country or city you would like to see. Rotate any 3D image and zoom-in to see the details in finer clarity. Click on links within images to view nearby sites of interest. Read articles included with panoramas for an overview of locations. Embed a rotating image on to your site using the link found at the top left corner of each panoramic photo. Zoom in and out of photos, read articles about each location, turn sound on and off using links included with images. Based on the device used for viewing, choose from high or low resolution and iPhone or iPad links to view panoramas. Panoramas open in a new tab/window.
In the Classroom
Bookmark and save this site for use when discussing well-known places around the world. View 3D panoramic images on your interactive whiteboard or projector. The Baldwin Library of Historical Children's Literature is a digitized collection of a variety of children's literature from approximately 1896 to 1943. Use filters to narrow content by year, genre, publisher, and more. Some items in the collection offer different publications of the same text. Each thumbnail links to images includes the publication date and publisher information.
In the Classroom
Share older versions of children's classic books with students to compare with modern versions including print books and online videos. This literature collection is perfect for use with studies of the late 1800's and early 1900's as a primary source of information. For younger students or those with little technology experience, use an online tool such as Interactive Two Circle Venn Diagram, reviewed here, to compare different versions of texts. When used to implement flipped/blended learning, Wakelet allows students to be more self-reliant and gives the instructor more time to help students who struggle. Wakelet offers flexibility in how you share content with your students encouraging creativity in both the instructional sequence and in the ways students demonstrate learning. Join us to learn how Wakelet can be used to reshape your classroom. As a result of this session, teachers will: 1. Understand how Wakelet can be used to deliver differentiated blended learning lessons; 2. Explore Wakelet's built-in tools that support instruction; and 3. Plan to deliver a lesson using Wakelet. Located within the games portion are word searches, coloring pages, quizzes, and jigsaw puzzles that help kids learn about the state. Do a connect the dot activity to discover what the state bird is of Missouri. Several activities offer choices of difficulty levels to make offerings accessible to more students. The Missouri History and Fun Facts portion of the site includes an excellent timeline of the state's history, a complete list of state symbols, and information of some of the state's famous citizens. Another in-depth portion of the site contains information about the state government including explanations of the judicial system, legislature, and government officials.

Twee offers a selection of artificial intelligence (AI) tools designed with English teachers in mind. Create a free account to access the many resources that work with video, interact with text, develop vocabulary, provide grammar practice, and more. Twee's video tools work with YouTube reviewed here to create questions based on the video's content, create summaries of the video, and suggest warm-up questions for use before watching videos. Additional tools provide options to create various assessments, topics for discussion, and homework ideas. After selecting a tool, follow the prompts to make your activity. Some of Twee's tools offer the option to create text from an image, including turning a screenshot of a text page into text to use with the chosen resource. Copy the completed activities into any document to share with students or save as a PDF.

Twee isn't just for English teachers! Use Twee to create content for any subject area to engage students and enhance comprehension. Use Twee to differentiate instruction by creating reading passages with different levels of difficulty based on the same content. Twee's vocabulary tools are an excellent option when introducing new vocabulary for science content, social studies, or math terminology. The True Size of...uses Google Maps and drag and drop technology to allow you to compare the size of any two countries. Because normal maps have a certain amount of distortion, sometimes it's hard to see real size differences on a standard map. Just type in the name of any county. Once highlighted, drag the country to any location on the map to compare. Hover over the country to view statistics with the actual size. When finished, right click and start over.

The True Size of... is perfect for use on an interactive whiteboard or with a projector. Use to demonstrate size differences in countries. Have students use this site when presenting reports of nations around the world. Have a new student from another state or country? Use this site to begin a discussion of the comparable size of where they came from to where your classroom is located. This tool would be especially valuable when explaining the concept of map scale or square miles/meters. Routines are a key part of classroom management. As educators, we create routines for many things: asking to leave the room, handing out supplies, and transitioning to a new task, to name a few. EduProtocols are routines you apply to your lesson content, streamlining the instructional process and allowing you and your students to focus on the content. EduProtocols are routines you apply to your lesson content, streamlining the instructional process and allowing you and your students to focus on the content. Learn about animals of the Antarctic with printable trading cards. This four-page set includes facts and information about twelve inhabitants of the Antarctic. Follow the directions to print the set in color, fold, glue, and cut to create the trading cards.
In the Classroom
Engage students in learning about animals of the Antarctic with these brightly-colored trading cards. Provide a set of cards to different groups of students and create their games based on the facts. For example, have students find the animals with the longest life span, largest or smallest weight, or longest length. Enhance student learning by introducing the TeachersFirst Reading Trek, Mr. Popper's Penguins, reviewed here. Use the trade book, Mr. Popper's Penguins, and the Reading Trek, which includes a virtual field trip of resources that takes students on a learning adventure to the South Pole. Extend learning further by asking students to create interactive images sharing new information learned about the Antarctic. Use the free tools found at Genially, reviewed here, to design interactive images that include links to text, websites, or videos using a Genially template or starting from scratch. Use images found on Unsplash, reviewed here, also search within Genially, or find additional free images at Pixabay, reviewed here, and make sure to provide proper attribution.

To find specific content, use the keyword search then narrow down results using the provided filters for type of material, source, or category. Be sure also to check out the section for educators with links to content matching Virginia SOL standards. Register on the site to bookmark and save information for easy access at any time.

Bookmark this site to use for lesson planning and student research if you teach Social Studies in any state. Take advantage of the virtual tours on the site to provide a real look at historic sites that go beyond the pages of textbooks. Instead of reading stories found in textbooks, ask students to browse the site to find interesting events during the period being studied. Use these ideas as the basis for student research projects. Encourage students to imagine themselves as a participant in events in history. Ask students to extend learning by using this Headline Generator, reviewed here, as a story starter to retell and analyze moments in history. Share the site's podcasts in listening centers or as an option for flipped learning. Use the podcasts as models for students to create their own podcasts for retelling events in history through the perspective of someone alive during that time. PixCove offers downloadable JPEG images for use privately or commercially without requiring attribution. Use the keyword search to locate images for specific topics or browse through the latest uploads. Included with each image is a short description with tags and a statement of no copyright declaring the availability to use the image without attribution. Even when not required, it is always a good idea for students to provide attribution when possible.
In the Classroom
Explore PixCove as a resource to find images and backgrounds for any digital projects and presentations. Select interesting images to display for creative writing prompts or ask students to select a photo to inspire a creative writing project. Ask students to write their stories (displaying the image) with Telegra.ph, reviewed here, to share with the class.
